I've been running 14.50's in my Dart w/3.55's in the rear. I put 4.10's in and saw no change in et. I'm going through the trap at around 5000rpm. I don't get it. That is a pretty decent jump in gearing, should I have seen a change in et &/or top end rpm? I'm at a lost...seems like everything I do to improve performance the car just stays in the 14.50's. Any ideas?

360 .030, 9.5 to 1 comp, 2500 stall, 750 Edelbrock carb, 280 HL Isky cam

Hows your 60' times? Maybe you spin more with the 4.10.

whats the MPH between the 2 runs ?

60' times were close to the same but not as consistant as before: 2.13 - 2.19. I didn't feel it spin but the air temp was over 100 so I'm sure the track was good and hot.

Top end speed was the same as before 92-93mph.

I know air temp can slow the car, but I still thought I would see a change. I just feel like I'm missing something? Thanks.

May want to check your tech

I'd check your fuel system to be sure you're getting enough gas to the engine during your run. I've seen fuel delivery problems cause your symptoms. If you have a fuel gauge and it drops below 5 pounds pressure during the run you need to fix it. (3/8" fuel line from the tank, electric pump, regulator, new filter for 3/8" line, float level). Will the engine RPM past 5,000 in first & second? If not you may have a valve spring problem.
