Hello, looking at a 09 ram and was curious if anyone is getting the 20 mpg on the highway that they advertise? How about in town? Thanks in advance

I have a 2008 4X4 5.7 hemi and from Canada to Tennessee and back 1430 mile round trip I averaged 18 miles to a US gallon and the 2009 has variable valve timing as well as the MDS and is suppose to get 5 to 10% better gas mileage. So by what friends say about their 09's i would say at 65 to 70 they should no problem.

In town they are hard on gas as mine weighs 5500 lb but still gets better than my 01 318 2 wheel drive did! so???

I have a 2009 Ram Hemi 1500 that I bought new and have actually achieved 24.4 mph on several highway trips. In town I can get around 18.

My '09 Hemi Quad cab will do 19 strictly highway driving at no more than 70 mph. Around town, 16 or a little better is the norm. It has NEVER gotten close to 20.
