Should the cap in the valve cover have two nipples? Do both the manifold breather hose and the the center carb vent line go to the cap?
ive seen 3 nipple caps with one tube for the air cleaner, one for the carb fuel line vent and one for ???? (fuel line vent maybe?)
but 440 6 bbls have a vapor line that go to the return line.
so a 2 nipple cap seems like it would be right.
heres a bump for you anyways.

1 or 3 (N95)or 1971 cars on V-8's. 2 with 6 cylinders.
fuel vent just goes to open air unless you have N95 (cal emissions).
I didn't like that much, so I put a 2 nipple breather on my 6 pack so I'd have someplace to put the fuel vent, even though the 2 nipple is only correct for Cal 6 cylinders.

from what i know is that in 70 on a n95 car (cal emission) that it would have a 2 nipple cap with one line going to the tank and the other back to the air cleaner and the hose next to the throttle plate goes to the PVC on the left side VC

and on a 71 the 3rd hose from the breather cap goes to the port up by the metering plate( see circled) mines a 70 non 95 car
hope this helps if im wrong someone please step in
so what do you got a 71 n95 car ?? if so you need a 3 nipple cap 70 n95 car will have 2 non n 95 will have one

that port on the carb is the bowl vent.
So youre saying that on a 70, non cal emissions car, there will be only a single nipple breather and that goes to the air cleaner. So I guess the carbs fuel bowl vent is blocked (capped off) on those???

Here you go. This is an original untouched 440+6 1970 'Cuda. It has the California emissions and clearly the three nipple breather. The hose that appears to go nowhere actually goes to the shaker base plate. Hope this helps. Rob
