17 Inch Magnum 500's - will they clear Wilwood 12.2" disc brakes without any interference ?

Any other 17/18 inch options available with short lead times ?

Thanks,
Dan

Centerline had some 17" wheels in stock and on sale. AR may have some also. I don't know about the fit of the Magnum's w. 12.2" brakes... if they use a 15" center with stepped rim they will be close.

Being a 17" wheel you shouldn't have any clearance issues. Not until 13"+ do you need to worry about 18s, IIRC.

I have found that in most cases, the rim needs to be at least 3 inches larger in diameter than the brake rotors.

17's clear most 13" brakes no problem - shouldnt be a worry with your setup

Set of mustang bullitt on the local (evansville,IN) craiglist for 300 OBO. Get some adapters and you're in business.

Not a big fan of the bullitts myself, but they are reasonably cheap and readily available.

Mustang take offs are a great deal. Sometimes you can find them with good tires which saves even more money.

Send me an e-mail at illumin8s@hotmail.com and I'll reply with the name of a guy who just bought a Challenger from Southern Motors. He hated the 17 inch Billet Specialties wheels and went to 15 inch rally's. Here is the car.

He'll let these go cheap....

You can buy my hot rod and get the 18" wheels and tires I've got on it.

you should be able to stuff those on that car...I have a 11" Police Duty drums on the rear of my 69 and I have about an 2.5" of airspace all around the outer diameter of the Brake Drum.

Here is mine with the 17" Mag 500s from Newstalgia Wheel

I don't know about the billet wheels , but the steel 16 and 17 Magnum 500 wheels from Specialty Wheels uses an expanded center , at 13.25 inches.
