I put a smallblock 22" radiator in my '63 330 with the bigblock. I thought the radiators were the same except for the upper outlet which I have handled with no problem?!

Do I need to shorten the bung on the radiator or get a shorter oil filter?

How was the BB radiator lower bung arranged?

Pic of the dilemma:

do some quick measureing/eyeballing & if a shorter filter would give you room to run the hose that'd b the fastest solution. BB's did come w the hose on both sides so not sure how that worked as I'm just getting back into BB's. Might b when they switched the hose they switched the nipple. holler how it turns out & the sol

A radiator shop can sweat the bung out and either angle it to the car's left, or replace it with a bung that will.

A big block radiator had the outlet all the way over which would give you another couple of inches. That is a particularly long stub on your radiator. If you shorten that you can get a hose on that as I have done that a couple of times, but it is always a fight with the filter when changing oil. But you can do that. Also as said, a radiator shop can move that as well. Good luck, that year Dodge is a great looking car.
