500ciDuster OP top fuel 5 Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,798 McGregor,Iowa 52157	I did some work on a trans in my freinds truck and was wondering if the 98 needed the atf+3 or atf+4?the dipstick said atf+ with mopar number. Mitch

451Mopar master Joined: May 2008 Posts: 5,399 Aurora, Colorado	I think Mopar #7176 is ATF +3. It has friction modifiers to prevent lockup clutch shudder. You could use the newer ATF +4, I think it is semi-synthetic? (but more expensive.)
