I need rings for KB 215 .030 pistons..i had to tear my mill down for a cleanup after cam sh** a lifter.I dont see these at KB and the only others i seen for sale is .040.What kinda rings do i need? Engine only has 3000 on it still see the cross-hatch no ring ridge. If i go with chromoly rings will they seal with a 220-240-dingle hone?A few no nothing shade tree friends like myself said they are a bear to seal, could take along time.Basically i need to find out where to get rings, engine is a mild 451.I have read nobody likes this line of piston,i dont need to know why i done read it but these are what i got Thanks for any help! This thing is going back together next weekend!

I got my 451 (4.370") rings (single moly 30 over 400) at Summitt. read this: "break in secrets" at www.mototuneusa.com EDIT yes the plateau finish from a flexhone (dingleberry) hone is excellent and highly recommended (get the right grit)

I get that way for weeks at a time . I'm assuming that piston is a 5/64" but do check one of the sites that show em in a lengthy list or google it (you'll know in seconds)

Yep they are 5/64.Thanks for your help Robert.Read that whole link on break in.Is that what everybody does with moly rings?Or is that a can of worms topic on here?Sounds like good sense long as a guy doesnt over rev of course.
