Check out Mopar Actions Intake shootout. TM-7 fared pretty well. Just buy one that's matched to your build and you'll be set.

Yep, performance will be very close to the Victor intake and it will fit without a hood scoop.

In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. In practice, there is.

I think you will be leaving some hp on the table, but it will work fine for rolling around.

Thats the intake I have on my '69 Charger. 440/auto, .040" over, 10to1 comp, iron heads with big valves, Comp Cams hydraulic .507"/.510" cam, TTI 1-7/8" headers and 3" exhaust, and a BG 750 carb. All steel car, probably about 38-3900lb race weight. Went 12.20s with slicks and 4.10s. Also went 12.80s with 3.23s and regular street tires. Good intake, no problems on the street.

I am hoping with my set up it will really wake the motor up more than with the edelbrock performer RPM intake. I keep hearing other say a single plane is no good for street use but 90% of my friends run them all the time and have been on me for some time to change and see the diff it makes so i am time will tell.!

what are you trying to do Be specific.

1. you may want to look at indy's dual plane intake for standard intake port (you did not say max wedge)

2. or step up to a victor junior standard port what is street able is real suggestive

TM7 is a good intake don't think there will be a big overall difference from a RPM performer?? less down low more up top kind of thing.
The Indy dual plane is supposed to be the best dual plane out there.

I'm old as dirt and never ran anything but a single plane on the street.
better options now the RPM and Holley SD give the best of both worlds.
The big Indy dual plane is better yet I'm told then just move right up to victor.

You still have both feet don't you??

The TM7 is an excellent manifold. When we dynoed my old 446 there were 4 intake manifolds tested ; TM7/Victor/Street Dominator/Performer Rpm

The TM7 vs SD was almost identical...within 1-2 TQ/HP of each other (535hp/540tq) The Victor made 10 more hp but also pushed the peaks up higher. The RPM was down about 25hp but it did make more tq below 3000 than any of the single planes.

My engine combo is very similar to yours although you have better heads than i do....My RPM's flowed right at 300cfm @ .600 valve lift.

I ended up using the Street Dominator with an 850 DP using a 4200 stall & 4.10's the car ran a best of 11.68@116 with a raceweight of 4100 lbs.

Assuming you have enough stall and gear the TM7 will show some nice top end improvement. I would recommend a 1in open spacer for increased plenum volume....mine liked it !

Hope you don't mean me all the intakes have merits. just meant if you are super performance orientated like I usually am the victor even if you had to tickle the throttle at idle in gear is not a bad thing to me at least!
