Want your input her as i am on my way dropping an B&M built tranny in my 71 chally.
Thing is before pulling off trans i had rectangular washers or better named spacers between rear trans mount and nuts for holding the rear trans mount! Isn´t this way wrong location? aint the (washers/spacers) meant to be placed between trans mount and the machined aluminium tail housing? Am missing one of the original nuts with inbuilt free rotating washers, so if you got that nut please give me a note.
Another thing, calculating my rear wheel size and my 3.91 rear gear ratio i am in need of an 38tranny speedo wheel. Where do you recomed to turn for the speedo wheel?

Best to post a pic of what you have (trans mount-wise), so someone knowledgeable here can give you an idea of what you need.

The square washers go between the mount and the face of the nut; the square washers are necessary because of the slotted holes in the mount.

The original Keps nut is desired but a regular nut will work.

It sure makes sense placing the spacer where you informed.

Here is a pic from the '70 Plymouth FSM that applies to Challengers and both auto & manual trans that shows the two bolts securing the trans to the trans mount and the placement of the spacers between the trans mount and the mounting bolt's captive washers.

The nuts mentioned above as far as the E body trans mounting, were two threaded studs inserted into the bottom of trans ext housing and two nuts w/captive washers used as well & using the same torque specs?
