ut wont fit, seems like the bolt goles are too wide. we ordered one for the hemi, and it was shipped with a label listinng it as small block/big block mopar/big block chevy

anyone have this problem? im thinking its hitting the block and not allowing it into place, but i want to know if this is common before i go grinding on a new part.

The bolt spacing is the same as the B/RB , it's hitting the block ...

Common problem when using a Chevy cover. I had to redesign my Chevy fuel pump covers to fit properly on a BB Mopar. The Mopar block has more material in that area so the cover needs to be smaller. Most vendors just sell the Chevy part and make the customer finish the job.

cut a paper template to fit the machined recess or the gasket if it is a close enough fit & use it to mark where on the blockoff it needs to b ground & w a sanding belt (best) or bench grinder get a perfect shape/fit
