Sorry not very good at making videos! A few people asked me to make a video of my car running with the thrown together 318. Put together with parts mostly laying around the garage, and about $200. Cams a little small but atleast I can drive the car again!!!!! Really need to get rid of the loud electric fuel pump though.

here is a link of the car running.

I should have a driving video next week after the axle regear/rebuild.

Sounds good for just a "junkyard" 318.
How does it drive?

It runs surprisingly well. Need to replace the alternator with a newer higher output, my fans and fuel pump will kill the battery after a while. And the rear end is NOISY!!!!! I just got the rebuild and gears from Summit today! I dont know if going from 3.55 to 3.91s will help much, but I guess I will see.
I guess its hard to call it a junkyard motor, since people usually dont get a low mile 318 with Kb pistons. Found a set of redone 915j heads in the back of a free pickup truck, the cam was brand new out of the 360 I am curently building. was given a couple sets of new 901-16 valve springs. Headers were on the car, the intake came with the 360.

I see. Yeah, it's always nice when you score good stuff like that.
And I agree the car itself looks to be pretty nice.

Good luck with it and have fun.
