..a friend called and said he scored a '72 full size Mopar with a 400 in it.(Newport?)
is that early 400 anything special?
i seem to remember something about '72 C body disc brakes and also the rear axle.
i'm going over tomorrow to take a look before he crushes it!

400 will be a good core for a stock stroke or stroker build even if it isn't the so-called 230 block.

If the car is a late build 72 it might have the 73 style spindles that take the 1 piece unicast rotors which are more desirable for C-body disc brake swaps. Even if it has the 2 piece rotors they are still good to put discs on a drum C-body.

Trans will be good too. Not sure when they went to the 9.25 rear but if it has an 8.75 it will likely be a 2.76 but could be a SG so check it to be sure.
