I have a Dart windshield gasket with a long (18" or so)tear along the bottom. Is there any adhesive that would hold rubber together? I haven't heard anything good the new repro gaskets.

Superglue works on rubber to a point. If its under much stress is will fail though.

I have a small split in mine. My plan is to get a tube of black windhield adhesive and squeeze it in there and then tape the split shut until it sets up.

loc-tite has some contact rubber adhesive that is black and works good on the door rubber.

might give that a shot and let it fully cure before driveing it.

glued the yellow lens back on my headlight doors and they are holding good so far.
