A friend is thinking of building his 65 Valiant sedan. I have a 73-dart with discs and spoolmount k-frame that he's interested in.

Is it a direct bolt in for k-frame to k-frame. Will he need the UCA's from the 73 as well?

Thanks
Chris

The k-member will NOT fit, but the upper control arms and disc brakes WILL fit. I'd be interested in the spool mount k-member if the price were right......

The 65 and earlier rear A body frame rails are the same width as the 68 to 76A bodies but the front frame rails are about 1 3/4 inches narrower and that is why the 73 spool mount K frame will not fit.

So, if 65 back won't work, how about a 66 valiant/dart?

I located one near me in a salvage yard.

Jim, i'm located in missour. I doubt it would be cost effective to ship it from here. It would be a few months before the ball gets rolling.

Shipping a K-member isn't as bad as you think (it's about 35lbs). But, I am looking for deals on the V8 spool k-member as I will modify it to DC specs........
