Scott, how long can they sit after the rebuild before they are installed, just trying to know what kind of lead time I need so they dont go bad before installation/use.

They can sit for several years, no problem. I warrant any restoration work I do for as long as you own them, if a problem does occur on startup after storage you can rest assured, I will take car of it. To date I have had zero problems assosiated with customers using them after long term storage.

*Those aren't blasted Domingo, as bad as they appeared "before" they cleaned up rather easily in this case. Blasting is a LAST resort when a really nasty set is being restored, typically it's not required.

Regardless of the level of surface deterioration (or lack of such) the dichromate does leave a somewhat motled surface look, some dull and some reflective areas, photos exagerate the effect depending on the lighting.

As with anything being restored, the better the initial condition, the better the final results will be.

Scott, I think he means that the captions for the "before" and "after" pix are reversed.

It varies by arriving work load but generally about 4-6 weeks. If you have a specific deadline that needs to be met I can usually work with you to figure something out.

Used Katter before, next time it'll be Scott! His work is as good as it gets.

Ill third or fourth or fifth or what ever number we are up to on Scotts work...did my 4640SA carb last season & its running great. had a few problems with my setup after Scott rebuilt it (not his carb work fault, just some mods previously done to my dist etc) & he helped me get it sorted out
