@#$%&*! OP New user name, Same old jerk! @ Joined: May 2008 Posts: 1,131 Thigh-Gap Junction	Does anyone know of a good reference for what parts can or can't be swapped between different models? For example, I have a '67 B/C 833 I want to put in an A-body. Will the tailshaft parts and input shaft bearing retainer from an A/F overdrive 833 swap over? Are there any good web sites or books out there?

Bearing retainer may swap, depends on front bearing size... Dan A 67 383 would not have a 4.8 retainer , that size retainer didn't start till the 68 model year. What Dan said is if the trans has a 30 spline tailshaft housing (many alum tailshaft od a/f body 833 are sized to the 27 spline 904 size) it will swap but the MAINSHAFT, the piece the gears ride, on will not , the spot for 3rd gear(in an Od it's 4th) is a different diameter ... smaller.
