I am looking for a part number or vehicle year and model for a 130 amp high output Denso alternator that will work with the bracket kits for the Denso alt. I need a single V belt setup.
Thanks
Scott

don't know part number, but I have a 130amp denso that was a new take off from an 02 Ram Van, 1 ton.
It fits factory big block brackets with very little modification. I trimmed one stock spacer. for single V belt, you have to remove the stock serp pulley and install a 70's GM pulley. I got one off a 69 camaro/350 alternator and it worked fine with a nut I bought from sears.

full swap details and parts list.

I think it is actually a 136 Amp alternator from the newer trucks. Changing to a V-belt pulley is pretty simple. I'm not sure which brackets you are referring to. Here's my setup:

I am putting it on a Small Block. I know that Andy F and Mancini sell the brackets to make it fit, but I was hoping to be able to find a cross reference to an alternator that I can get from a parts store or a local rebuilder. (I like having the option of being able to get repair parts on the road and keep a record of all the part numbers on all my non-OEM parts in this project) For some reason all I saw was the 50 amp unit when I looked up the brackets, certainly a 120, 136 or anything else over 100 amps should be enough for my application.

Factory P/N 56027221/Denso 121000-4280 is rated at 136 amps, used on late nineties diesel trucks.

If you want one already with V belt pulleys, lookup 89-91 Dodge Ram van with optional 120-140 (I don't remember exactly) amp alternator. Might be under Ambulance.

AndyF's brackets are for the lower output models which are smaller in size.
There are various ways to mount the big ones, I suggest using the junk yard brackets that come with it if possible...

Currently working on - 1966 Dodge A100 van 318/auto
Finally - disc brakes on the front.
In the plans - rear disc brakes, B&M 250 blower

ACDELCO Part # 3341957 for the 120 amp units. Unless you're running some outrageous boom boom stereo system you'll never miss the other 10 amps.

You can find them on 90 to 91 trucks and vans using twin V belts.

Thank you.
Id say a mid level stereo, but more important is running the fuel pump, EFI, AC, power windows and other updated electronics in a 56 Dodge/408 Stroker.

I think 120 should be fine for your application. I'm running a 100 A big case Chrysler alternator with EFI, AC ect. and its plenty.

I put one of these on my truck. Had to modify the triangle looking plate to bend the opposite way, but that was nothing a vise and sledgehammer couldn't do. Little paint and you couldn't tell I did anything.
Now it's on a big block in the same truck. Brackets are completely different now.
