Converting 65 B-Body from auto to 4-speed. Car has Midland power brake booster. When pedals are replaced, and power brake push rod connected to new 4-speed brake pedal, pedal is close to floor, and won't come close to lining up with the clutch pedal (much closer to floor). Does a 4-speed car have a longer power brake push rod (thus bringing the pedal out away from the floor farther than an automatic brake pedal?) If not, what are we doing wrong in the connection to the clutch/brake pedal assembly. I'm sure we have the right pedal assembly - got it from Jamie Passon - but the way things are lining up now, the clutch and brake pedals will be ALOT different height.

Two things - Typically, on a power brake car the brake pedal sits a little lower than the clutch pedal. This is true accross the board.
On '65 B-bodies, the brake pedal is longer than on non-power applications. The pivot point is mounted higher in the brake pedal bracket. If the car was PB when it was auto, you should be able to see this. It might also make a difference.
(I have a Auto PB set-up in the garage if you need a picture of what this look like.

65 B with power brake uses a longer brake pedal.

That's the same pic I was going to take

I would think the auto, PB set-up is rare; I can imagine how rare 4 speed / PB would be.
