mro OP super stock Joined: Apr 2005 Posts: 1,107 Lynch Road	Just found a 2.76 sure grip from a challenger - I think- the housing has been in my back yard and was going to scrap it today and checked it and it is a sure grip - when and what was with a 2.76 posi???? never heard of that gear as a sure grip.

superbyrd enthusiast S Joined: Mar 2008 Posts: 390 kentucky	yeah,i have an 8 1/4 rear i pulled from an 85 2wd 1/2 ton pickup, was supposed to be a sure-grip rear,as stated by the previous owner,so i pulled the rear cover,and,sure enough, a factory sure-grip,......and a 2.94 gear!!! lol that poor 318 would have struggled to spin 1 tire,much less both.

Long legs cover more distance with less "revolutions". Short legs move faster to cover the same distance. Go ahead... Prove me wrong.

"short track" Long gears for the super speedways. Still waiting for a convincing counterpoint. As far as the oil slinger, I use them on every build, mainly because I have several in my stash. can't hurt, right?
