Hi all, I'm pretty new to the A bodies and want to know if 70-71 B/E disc brakes will properly fit a 68 A body? I need big bolt pattern hubs and I would rather use what I have than buy something else. I'm looking for good geometry as well as just physically fitting. Do I need to change to the later upper A arms? Thanks for all insight.

They will fit but you need the upper A arms for sure.I believe you will nee the lowers but Im not positive on them.I run the tall knuckles on my 65 B body and they are better than the 73 A bodys that I had on it.I think Dr Diff has a spacer for the spindle so you can run the cheaper rotors.Rocky

Suggested reading - Mopar Action disc brake write-ups. Link below. The way I read it the 70-71E disc setup will work if you change everything including ball joints and upper control arms from the donor vehicle. The 70-71 E disk set setup is expensive to service - check prices for replacement rotors. The late A body setup - including spindles and upper control arms - is the best with factory parts.

There may be some tricks to make your swap work easier... bearing spacers ect. If you are starting with 9" drums though, the whole setup should be changed as the 9" spindle/balljoint setup is not up to performance work.
