hi, i just installed a steering column in my 1972 cuda. now when i am going straight the steering wheel is now in the 12 0clock/six oclock position. any help to get my steering wheel lined up again would be greatly appreciated

Are you saying the wheel is upside down (the top at 6 o’clock) when going straight? If so you need to pull the column back out and rotate it. Did you line the spline key up on the shaft and coupler? If the key was lined up then you probably didn’t have the wheels straight when you reinstalled the column. Either way you need to pull the column back and line everything up again.

Sounds like the steering coupler is 180 degrees out. If you are still using the OE "pot coupler" mark it, pull it and re-assemble 180 opposite.

i disconnected column an turned coupler around .steering wheel alignment is much better ,off just slightly when i am going straight. i will take it to the alignment shop to finish it.thanks for the hlp
