a friend of mine just e mailed me and is looking for a set of side gears for an 8 3/4 diff. the C&P is 4:11 ratio . He said there are only 10 teeth on the spline of the side axle hence the same on the side gears. What application would have only a 10 tooth spline ????? I always thought the normal spline on an 8 3/4 was somewhere around 30??? ( can't remember too old ) Anyway, thought i would throw it out there , maybe some of you guys/gals know where these would be available .

No 8 3/4" ever had 10-spline axles, however the early 8 1/4" did have either 10-spline or 16-spline axles and they were a dropout that closely resembles the 8 3/4".
The early 8 1/4" 3rd member has 11 attach bolts instead of 10 like the 8 3/4".

Axles are 30 spline, so the side gears are too. Some pinions have 10 splines for the yoke. What's a C&P?
Sorry , us Newfies have too much "old England" in us. You say ring and pinion .......we say crown and pinion. Thanks for the info .
