dem440c OP pro stock D Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,381 Youngsville, NC	got a buddy trying to put a 360 into a 1980 Dodge Mirada, he needs some factory iron exhaust manifolds and I have a set from a 1976 Plymouth Fury (B body) 360 and I'm thinking they have a good chance to fit since both cars are pinch frame. Yes I realize the B and J body chassis are completely different, but it ain't too easy to find a 360 powered F/M/J body car so this is what we're starting with. Anyone know from experience if this works OK?

bboogieart master B Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 3,886 Lost and Spaced	I have no answer in fact, but as long as you have them in hand, can't you just test fit 'em? Do they have to be 360? Assuming they are different, they're are a lot of 318's in those cars.

Two questions for you: 1) do you know approx when the 318 exhaust manifolds became interchangeable with the 360s? His 318 is a 1980 model 2) for my own information, which aftermarket sb headers fit on an F/M/J body? I assume B body? Or do they sell specific ones for the F/M/J?

Although in 76 it was only the 2bbl 360 and not the E58 . . . Should be able to find headers for F body . . . Cheers Mark

Or do they sell specific ones for the F/M/J? any generic SB header will work. most are designed to fit for A/B/E/F/M/J...summits are $100. dunno on exact date, but my '86 5th manis have 360 sized exhaust port...want 'em? dem440c OP pro stock D Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 1,381 Youngsville, NC	appreciate the offer but by the time he paid for the shipping he'd be halfway to the headers We'll test fit the 76 360 logs I have, if they don't fit I also have an 87 5th Ave out in the field somewhere and maybe those will work, otherwise I'll advise him to redirect some budget to the headers. For the record, I'm all about headers myself under ordinary circumstances, just trying to help the guy out with what he's got to work with thanks for the replies
