This size is supposed to be 28" diameter, but I've heard some are less, like BF Goodrich Radial TA's, which are closer to 27". Can any confirm or better yet, steer me to a good 28" tire (that'll fit on the factory 7" rally rims)?
Thanks!

I run 275 60 15s on the rear of my 81 shorty. They are Les Schwab Grand Ams and are 28 tall. They are much happier on 8" rims..

I am truckless..

Go to tirerack.com and you can compare all dimensions from all brands.

Old, tired, and sometimes broke down. Me, not my car...

Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 is 28" tall in the size you desire.

Same here, GoodYear Eagle GT II's, 255/15/60 front and 275/60/15, which are 28" tall and 11" sectional width on 15X7 ralleys

I have those too - great tire!

Rated 27.76" on a 8" rim. Not recommended for rims smaller than 7.5" though.
