on the temp gauge itself, the lead that goes to the block, can that be unscrewed from the back of the gauge or is it part the gauge itself? thanks,need help

what series gauge? how old? autometer has like 20 different gauges. some have plug in harnesses, some are hard wired. need a little more info.

Are you talking about the hard line that screws into the intake manifold? if so, I don't "think" it can. somebody may know more.

if thats it, it cant be removed since it filled with some type of gas.
