Has anyone bought an ignition switch and cylinder lock say from yearone in the last year? I bought one last summer and ever since I installed it I have had trouble putting in the key and taking it out. Sometimes it would take 10 seconds to get it out. Jiggle, jiggle,up and down! Has anone had any trouble with this problem or is it just me? Well enough is enough! Finally took it out and put the old original switch and cylinder lock back in. I know I probably should have called Yearone after I noticed it but I just thought it would get better.

Try taking the tumblers and drivers out one at a time, to see which pair is making it bind. Either leave them out, or swap the originals in.

Well, Seeing that I know nothing about locks I did take the cover off the top and there were 5 holes three which had a spring and one short pin and one longer pin. They were in holes 2,3,5. So I started rearranging these and what I came up with was the secong hole was causing my hangup. I moved the spring and pins from the second to the fourth hole and seems to be working alot better. Not sure if that what you were talking about doing but it worked! Thanks Leigh!

No problem, glad it worked out for you. Parts guys most always code cylinders and cut keys. I used to have to leave out 1 to 2 tumblers and drivers sometimes, if I couldn't get a clean read on the key.
