65rbdodge OP master 6 Joined: Jan 2003 Posts: 3,920 n.e. pa.	anyone know what the original color the motor should be on a 49 chrysler? my step sons father just bought a 49 and wants to know what color to paint it. i`m not sure if its a 6 or 8 cyl, i got the question 3rd hand.

Eh	Iam sure it will be a flat head 6 and the color would be silver I was the Black Warlock but now Iam the Fargo Freek 1950 plymouth fast back (custom) 1951 Fargo spring special 1996 Dodge 1500 Pu 2008 Magnum AWD The way I see it is If It doesn,t say MOPAR then what else is there.
