Hey, Guys! I've installed a set of low-buck Summit headers in my Challenger with a 360. They installed easily, no clearance issues, and sound great! My problem is that the pitman arm bolt seems to hang on the lower header tube when I turn to the left and accelerate with any "vigor". I'm sure it's due to flex in the motor mounts, which are new. Anyone else see this issue? Any suggestions on how to minimize or eliminate this problem (aside from new TTI's)?

That's what I was thinking but once the denting has been done, it can't be undone. So I thought I'd get some opinions first.

Thanks!

adjusting the front end up will effectively move all steering components down, away from the headers, as the headers stay with the chassis, but the steering adjusts with the suspension.

Worked for me

Since the pitman arm and the idler arm are mounted to the K-Frame, I wouldn't think adjusting the suspension would effect the height of the drag link, only the angle of the tie rods....correct??

The dent in the header tube is most likely going to be pretty minimal. Find the mark from the pitman arm and ding it with a hammer. test drive and repeat if needed.

If it only happens under heavy acceleration, a cheap solution would be to install semi-solid motor mounts. I think Schumaker makes them; I got mine through Mancini Racing. They're rubber to deaden vibration when cruising but the left one is bolted through so you get limited engine movement when you get on it. I found them a good compromise between stock and solid mounts.
