Hi,
Has anyone ever heard of a T/A 4 speed with differnet size leaf speings on the driver and passenger sides. I have a numbers matching car and noticed the other day that it has 6 leafs on the Driver side and 8 (6 full and two half) springs on the passenger side..

Thanks

It was most probably changed by some one wanting to drag race. My T/A is original 45K miles and has the same leafs on both side as did all the ones I documented before I restored it. One thing about Mopars, never say never!

Check the bottom leaf one each side for the part number & post them.

They have been swapped in then.

From memory the T/A & AAR springs are 3400048.

You can try a want ad in the e-body parts wanted section here. Keep an eye on Ebay also.

A few years ago Mercer Spring in NJ had OE replacements for the shackles, they may still have some? Flagg Suspension Parts number CD400.

The bushings even had the Chrysler pentastar but the part number font on them was smaller than 1970 examples, at least on the set I replaced.

HI,
DO you know what the arch measurement was for the T/A? I found a set and the plate with the casting number is good but the rest is shot. They are down at mercer spring and they were going to try to re-arch them but cann't find the spec.
Thanks
Jay
