Knillse OP member K Joined: Jul 2010 Posts: 16 Pfalz	Hi, i just imported a 69 RR to Germany. To get her legal here, one thing, amongst many others, is to invert the existing hazard/brakelight priority. In GER it is mandatory that the hazard lights have to blink even if the brake is hit. Which is vice versa to the U.S. Thought it would be easy to take the hazard switch signal to a relay and the opener disconnects the brake signal. But apparently it isn't. As far as i can see the hazard switch does not use permanent 12V signal to trigger the hazard flasher. Does anybody have an idea how to solve this issue? The car is nearly original, that's why i don't want to change too much. Thanks in advance Knillse

Use the pulsed signal to trigger a delay type relay, like is used to keep the dome light powered when the door has been shut... Use the power output of that to trigger your relay that interupts the brake light circuit... Yancy Derringer mopar Y Joined: Oct 2010 Posts: 606 Montana	I don't believe that will work. I'm guessing the "pulsed signal" you are referring to is the one coming from the 4 way flasher. IT IS HOT AT ALL TIMES, that is the switch is in the column, downstream of the flasher. The flasher will be attempting to energise the relay at all times.

If it's acceptable a manual switch to disable the brake lights would be the easiest answer...
