Hey all, stuck here on what direction to go on engine colour.
I was thinking that I should go the 340 look and paint the engine street hemi orange ( is that correct)
or sleeper 318/360 blue.
The engine is a 71 408 with an aluminum top end from Edelbrock running a Thermoquad from the man Demomsizzler.
I am kinda leaning to the blue, when was it first used on 4bbl motors?
What do you guys have an opinion on?
Not even sure if this was the correct place to post this question.
Thanks.

What car are you putting the 340 in? Are you looking for factory correctness with a few mods? Then again, it's your car, do whatever you like with the car.

Hemi orange looks great to me on the Mopar engines. But I wanted the Max Wedge look so it was no question for me. Ron

If that's what your car looks like in the pic, chrysler industrial red would look great with the green. Of course that's if you dont care about having a "correct" color.

If your car is that shade of green, I think the orange would look better against it than the blue.

Thanks all for the replies.
I'll do a few tests.
