I have a 71 340 motor. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what this engine came out of based off the numbers. Numbers are as follows: 27809030-340-2. On the front of the block below the head I found a stamp that was as follows: 340P 35750089. On the right bottom side I found another stamp that looks to be the following: 1B4155491. On the back of the block on the top left near the distributor I found a stamp that was L 3. Does that help figure out what this engine came from?

Hamtramck built A and E bodies for 71 so we're looking at Duster, Dart, 'Cuda or Challenger. You may want to recheck that VIN. It has one too many numbers.

Seeking:

1969 St. Louis plant VINs, SPD, and VONs.
Over 2,000 thanks to you!
