For performance I use Mancini. Use the blue Clutches. For stock I use Rock Auto. Mike

WHat is the difference between the blue and red clutches besides one being blue, and the other being red?

Seriously. I've heard here and there to use one and not the other and vice versa...what's the difference beteween the two?
I've always used the reds.

Cope , CRT is also an option , I wouldn't use a use a Kevlar band on the front drum though.

I recently had the same question and Cope Racing Transmission was suggested. I went to his web site and sent him an e mail giving my combo and intended use. He answered quickly with his recommendations and the prices were on the web site and you can order directly.

If you need everything get a 22008c Deluxe kit. About $100.

They also sell red alto, kolene steels

If you aren't pushing more than 500hp, you really don't need the fancy clutches/steels. The Munroe 727 book walks you through just about anything you need to know.

The Transtar kits are good for the money and have Raybestos clutches that take a beating!
