I just got my engine back from the machine shop(340).It is sitting on an engine stand angled slightly forward.I noticed a trace amount of moisture at the bottom of the cam plug.I wiped it up and it reappeared.Seems to be coming from the inside of the block.Any ideas?

remove, clean the area and replace the cam plug with a new one and #1 permatex.

gotta pull the cam & the plug & have a look see. May need to strip it & clean it as they certainly missed something & who knows what else they skipped

If yours is one of the flat metal ones you can replace it with one that has sides like the rest of the freeze plugs. I never use the flat ones, I dont trust them. The permatex is always a good idea. No place for a leak.
