I have a 1968 Roadrunner that I am doing the the front end on and I am going with moog can you tell me if ES401R will work and I know that it calls for ES319R but they are $28 more.

ES401R E body $15

ES319R B body $43

Thanks

Although they may appear to be the same, the 70 and up (es401) is not the same as the 69-down (es319), the es319 has more of a curve, or drop-neck than the es401, which is almost straight in comparison

It could work in a pinch, if your using it on an outer, but an inner application may hit the torsion bar, or if you have headers (esp smblk) could be some interference

Unless you really need stock, many people move up to the early '70's C-body parts. They are a little more heavy duty, less expensive and bolt right up.

I went through some old info and I'm pretty sure that I ordered these from Rock Auto when I did my '68 Charger.

Tie Rod Outer (2) (74 New Yorker) moog ES352R $21.79
Tie Rod Inner (2) (74 New Yorker) moog ES355RL $21.79
Tie Rod Sleeves (2) (74 New Yorker) moog ES440S $16.53

I'm sure one of the smarter guys can jump in and confirm.

I went the "C" body route as well with the tie rods and sleeves for my 68 Road Runner...worked perfectly!

Pittman arm would be the same small sector factory one. If you are replacing the steering gearbox, you can get one that uses the large sector Pittman ('71+ B-body?) which is a lot less expensive.

Great pictures Mike , someone asked the difference and I didn't realize there was a difference.

That said the front unibody is the same 69 to 70 , yes the brake setup changed and I assume the lower ball joints are different , BUT , the K frame the Torsion bar and the steering box all appear to be in the same place ????
