WHAT IS THE CORRECT CORRECT ORIG DISC PAD???

Does anyone have a photo of what an original assembly line (what was in your car on day one NOT what was serviced) 70/71 EBODY disc brake pad looks like? were the pads riveted on? if so how many rivets? what plating is on the metal? are the sides of the pad black? any numbers or dates? whats being used on all the OE restorations? thanks!

I will take some pics of the factory installed pads from my '70 'Cuda. IIRC, they are bonded and have a small K-H (Kelsey-Hayes) stamped on them. They are very worn and have a bit of surface rust, so the finish may be tough to figure out

No rivets were on the original disc brake pads. The metal backing was painted with a semi (kind of flat) black; thin layer of paint. Sorry but I don't have a picture of the ones I used for my Cuda a couple years ago.

hi guys....i look fwd to seeing the pics. i explored this topic a few years ago and can honestly say that i do not remember the answer. i have orig pads on my 71 hemi cuda, 71 hemi charger, rts rrunner, and the diamante. dave i do remember the sides of the pads being black and there being some wording/number? stamped on the sides. it's amazing how some things just fade out of ones memory (real meaning: it sucks getting old). since i am nowhere near those cars i look fwd to some examples to be posted here.
dave....i am confident you figured this out to the umpteenth degree. are you sure you cant scrounge up a photo? what else do you have to do with your free time (just kidding!). i think you sleep way too many hours.....steve
ps: i lost mr steve b's number and cant return his call. please fwd. thanks
