Hey guys,

So im taking apart my 360 ci. engine for overhaul and im at the timing chain, is there a certain puller needed to remove it? Any tips on removal are wanted.

Thanks,

can use a gear puller on the crank gear just put something on the bolt hole threads to protect them but prob can CAREFULLY wedge it w 2 screwdrivers to get it started moving forward. Just use care as to not gouge anything

the cam gear and the crank gear need to move forward together other wise ..one will bind the other and nothing will move.

Shouldn't need a puller. A pair of screw drivers to work the sprockets off is all I have ever used.

Every time I dig into them the timing chain is so worn out you can pull it right off. The gears are another story
