Hi,
I have the mancini dodge 65 front hangers with 3400lbs super stock springs installed.

I will switch back to the OEM coronet hangers for the A990/super stock look and some better traction.
Maybe drill a hole in the mancini ones for copy the plymouths OEM hangers (115" wheelbase).
If I do, I need to shorten the drive shaft but think its worth it.

Now to the question. I have done some measuring and I dont think the shortest plymouth (dodge SS) hangers will work with my slicks 29" high pie crusts.

Anyone have experience of this? Think I only have clearance for the OEM dodge hangers (116 wheelbase with SS springs).

Thanks!

I run 30 inch M&H slicks on my 65 Belvedere with SS springs and hangers from Mancini.Plenty of clearance. You could use the stock hangers and drill the springs back an inch to center the rear. But if you do you will have to redrill the rear shackle hole. With the stock front hangers either way the rears will be an inch short from where they are supposed to be.Rocky

Thanks,
My goal is to have the rear wheels as close as possible the lower wheel opening edge.

The stock hangers would do 1" closer compared the mancini hangers. I think with 2" (115" wheelbase) would have them touch to front edge in the lower wheel opening.

The shackles would follow the hangers and the angel of them would only change, or? I dont want them peaking directly down.

Cheers

The new hangers place the tire in the same position as stock. The SS springs are 1 inch shorter segment in front than the 65 springs.Rocky

You want to go even shorter than the stock Dodge hangers? The stock Dodge hangers will move the axle forward one inch from the Dodge Super Stock hangers. You can move forward another 0.70 inches by using the AR095 hanger which is for 66-70 Ply B-body cars.

I just change the hangers and installed everything back again. What a diffrence. It look awesome with the hurst slick just close to the front of the wheel opening and the ride height get much better - I use the higher hole before when the mancini ones was installed.
I now have the stock coronet ones. I couldnt go for the stock plymouth ones because the tire havent had clearance in the front.

The MP adjusteble pinion snubber did also fit now! It dident reach to the floor - just into nowhere in the wheel hoop...

If I remeber right the mancini ones was marked with 015?

The bad thing is that I have to shorten the drive shaft but its so worth it!

From the pic you better hope the slicks dont grow much.If they do they will be tearing up the frt wheel well.Rocky
