Word on the street is that these are not being made right now, and I need one for a 68 Coronet 2-dr HT. Anyone know if there are some around anywhere? I did a seach but couldn't find much chatter about these. Getting ready to do the final paint on the outside of the car and would like the W/S in before I do.

Thanks...

Try Legendary Interiors in NY, they my still have a limited supply of some NOS ones left, they cost a little more but worth it over the repro's

Thanks for the tip, it looks like they list one in stock, not too bad for price either. Almost $30 to ship it to MN is a little steep, but I guess it is what it is.

Well just because they list one in stock and send me an invoice after I pay for it, doesn't mean the part actually exists. After a little better than a week I sent an email to ask about the status of my order, that's when they told me that they were on national backorder and they didn't know when they would come in. Wish they would have told me that in the first place, but I guess the search continues. A 7 year project comes to a screeching halt a few weeks before completion because of the windshield gasket.

I also did a major search about 1 month ago for the gasket for my 68 charger. One guy I contacted told me that if I did find one to pay whatever they are asking if I wanted to drive my car this summer. (Factory production problems) Another guy said I was the 115th. caller that month. Anyway I went out on a limb and called an autoglass installer. They told me that their supplier had one gasket in stock. $105. And they told me they could have it the next morning. Had to drive 40 miles to get it because I was outside of their install range. Anyway the package was sealed and I was happy. Just got the window installed by a local glass company 2 days ago.

Search tips.
Old dealerships that might have NOS gaskets.
Mopar vendors that are not widely known.
Last resort, Junkyards that might have a good used one. I think there is some guys parting out B-bodies in the parts section.

I'm pretty sure that I have one that I bought about 5 years ago and never installed. I'll check when I go home for lunch this afternoon. If I've got it and you'll pay shipping, it's yours. I'll send you a PM later this afternoon.

I've got the gasket. I sent you a PM. Please respond quickly, as I'm going out of town for a while in a few days.

Got the gasket, going to haul the car into the body shop on Wed. He figured only a week or two to finish up his part. A couple weeks for me to assemble the trim after that and we should be on the road right about the 7th anniversary of when it officially became unroadworthy. As information, my car had an arguement with a large oak tree at my folks house in a nasty May storm, landed on the roof and rolled onto the front clip.

Thanks again, very grand gesture (and of course the check is in the mail)...
