It looks like a generic Milidon. I wonder if they are making them for Summit?

The Summit pan was on back order so I bought mine from this guy on Ebay. Worked like a charm, sealed nicely, good fit. No leaks!

In general, I have always been pleased with the Summit branded items I have purchased over the years.

I have seen those pans before. They look like a nice peice The summit pans are in stock though (atleast for now) so i'd like to order one soon. They do look similar to a milodon stock replacement pan, but they are half the price it seems

Years ago I used a summit oil pan on a 350 chevy and the bolt that the drain plug bolt threads into broke loose one day when I was changing the oil. I stuck a magnet to the bottom of the pan to hold the loose bolt in place and then welded a nut on the outside of the pan so I could use the drain bolt. I ran it that way until I built another engine a few years later.

Overall it was a big ugly mess so would make sure the oil drain bolt is welded up securely before the pan goes on. This could happen to any pan, not just the ones that Summit sells.
