Ok so I've looked at the pics on bigblock dart but since they havent updated the tech pages in a while I was going to see if anyone had tried this with a 440 in an abody. Im using a motor plate so I can move it around alittle bit if it will help clearance.

Some if not all of the big block TTI headers are designed to fit A B and E chassis configurations.

Yeah I took a look at them but the price is more than I've got in all my engine parts right now. I've got a set of hooker fenderwells but I really like my turning radius....

The TTI prices are not for the average guy. You would think that like so many other products on the market, the prices would come down since the money spent on development has been paid for long ago.
I am by NO means a guy that hates the rich or is anti-business in any way. Maybe they are struggling in this economy like so many others.
The pisser is that there are so FEW alternatives. One that I know of IS cheaper, but I dont know if they will work for you: Dougs Headers #452. A few members here like to brag on them alot. I have no experience with this header, so ask around. Good luck.

I'll look into the dougs headers I don't get how a set of B body BB headers can be $200 and a set of BB abody's are $700. Theres not that much difference in design and fit...

The differences are subtle, but they are there. When the b body units fit but come close to everything, the narrower engine bay of the A body makes things even tighter.

i thought on the website it said you could get a set of headman b body headers to fit but only with a 383-400 engine.
Heres the link

i have these headers on my dart w/400. on the pass side there is about 1/4" clearence to the inner fender and trans. on the drivers side, with the header dented there is about 1/4" clearence to the steering column(with it moved all the way to the outside) and the same with the torsion bar. the hedman headers would have to be heavily modified for a 440.
