Yup, figure at least $2500 for the intake, carbs, air cleaners, linkage & fuel lines, $700-$800 for the Maxie exhaust manifolds, and around $700 for the Maxie exhaust, add for mufflers & tailpipes. 500CFM carbs are good for a 440, might want to go to 600s for 500". The Maxies also had relocated voltage regulators, wiring harnesses (on the aprons) and heater hoses. If you're gonna run a dual-reservoir master cylinder with Maxie manifolds, you'll need a heat shield for it. You'd also be wise to cut the center hood bracing out before painting the car.

WOW--- Almost 2K for just the manifold????
I saw that reaction coming as soon as I read your first post.
Ya, I was thinking closer to $1300 or so, but I will have to bite the bullet as I want the look!

I've seen OE intakes from $800-$1500. Take your time and shop around. Look for the Stage I intakes, they're the cheapest.
Also, most of the maxie repro. parts come from Norm Brady @ Crossram Connection.
I'm no expert on Maxie's, but is the O.P. Talking about Eddy RPM heads? If so, the port sizes won't match an O.E. Maxie cross-ram, will they? Not to mention, if you are really going for the Maxie look, modern budget aluminum heads don't really jive, do they?
Also, we're talking about high-dollar reproduction stuff here to get the full Maxie vibe, but the car in the O.P. Is a convertable, isn't it (???). Don't mean to be a buzz-kill, but I'm having a tough time following this thread without shaking my head a little.... Maybe just me? Flog me if needed.

The Eddy ports can be opened to MW size and they can also be painted. Or, the Stealth heads can be used and painted.
Yeah, I'd kinda worry about a 500" torque monster in a vert, too.

The A&A intake is available in both standard 440 port size and Maxie port size.
True enough Steve, but you have to pay out the a**...
IMO, if you're using Eddy heads, it's cheaper to open the intake port and use a $1000 intake than to pay $1800 for std port A&A intake -- at least to me.

Your not killing my buzz. Im not trying to make a period correct perfect Max wedge car. This car if I build it, will just be the way I wnat it and probably the last car I ever do. I just wanted the crossram look for the engine bay.
I pick it up this saturday and will know more then as what I wanted was to build a balck car with red interior and I actually was looking for a HT or post car. But this is what I found and the wife likes verts. So I wanted that engine bay look. And I have that done motor but once again I am in the quandry of the fact that the car according to many should get done back to original and thats not what I wanted. A mopar moral compass moment.
In any case I thank everyone for the prices and I will wait and see what the future brings.

$2000 for the manifold is nothing compared to what it's going to cost to do a complete resto-mod on that car. Ask me how I know...
1970 Plymouth 'Cuda #'s 440-6(block in storage)currently 493" 6 pack, Shaker, 5 speed Passon, 4.10's 1968 Plymouth Barracuda Convertible 408 Magnum EFI with 4 speed automatic overdrive, 3800 stall lock-up converter and 4.30's (closest thing to an automatic 5 speed going)
