Having a terrible time trying to get my doors aligned on my challenger. Seems if I get the bottom front to line up with the rocker, the bottom rear wants to be in past the rocker/quarter. No amount of movement will correct this. Seems like the doors are tweaked out at the top rear 1/2 inch. Anybody else have this problem? I "X" measured the body from rocker to top of opposite quarter, and every other place I could find and could not find anything off more than 1/8 inch. What is the solution, different doors? Any suggestions appreciated, I've adjusted on this thing for two days.

I have run into this problem before. Some doors will have a twist in them. To repair this simply place a small piece of a 2x4 (6 inches)at the bottom of the door, about 8 to 10 inches from qtr. at rocker. Use both hands at top rear of door where the REINFORCEMENT (door bow) is and give it a hard push. Don't be shy, sometimes these can be tough. This should take care of the alignment. Any problems PM me.
Bob

Make sure the door post isn't tweaked inward.

Take care,

Are you trying to get them aligned to the fenders at the same time?

Always align the doors to the body then the fenders and hood to the doors. You have to align the hood and fenders at the same time to get them correctly fit.

Thanks for the suggestions guys, Rick I "X" measured the door hinge posts, from top to opposite rocker, got the same meaurements (within 1/8 inch). I have been concentrating mostly on the bottom rear door/rocker/quarter panel fit. I'm gonna try getting the front of the doors to fit the rocker and fender and see where I'm at. I'll post a pic when I get it.

The fit issues you have are normal...I cut the quarters loose & rehung them....I've twisted the doors before, I really don't like the results...

Randy, It's hard to tell from the pic, but that looks like the exact problem (other side though). Do you haved a pic of that door/quarter/rocker fit from the front? By the way, thanks again guys for the suggestions.

Apparently the picture doesn't show the gaps clearly cause every gap on my car is aligned to within 1/32nd of an inch, the fender to rocker, fender to door, door to rocker & door to quarter were block sanded as if they were one peice..The gap between the rocker & the door is a wide gap per the service manual it should be about 1/2" & it is but the panel to panel alignment is extremely good... Trust me I spent alot of hours getting it the way I wanted it...
