Now that the shaker hood is reproduced, is there anything in the works for reproducing all the under hood components as an affordable kit????

I'm waiting till my car is absolutely done before buying any shaker stuff, hoping the prices will come down.

I have not and will not buy from them. I was ready to drop a couple grand on some parts last year and the sales people weren't very friendly or helpful.

Thats Washington State's very own Ben Snobar. Not a bad guy really, but he has torqued a few people off over the years. He's never been cheap, never will be, but he is pretty good at assessing the needs of the market and chosing his offerings carefully. And the more of companies like his, the better off we are (competition breeds quality and lower prices).

A WHOLE lot more shaker hood cars out there cuz of him, and if nothing else that proves he's fullfilling a demand.

Correct. The only thing I heard was hood to fender gap was tight. I never measured, but it does appear a little tighter than I remember, but looks great that way.

I can understand the price. I just hate getting mocked as I'm handing over the cash. I spend about 5 to 10 grand each year on the hobby in parts. I like to give my patronage to the other fine venders that appreciate it.

I'm also looking for a "bubble kit" for my shaker hood. So far I have found two places to get it. One is Snobar and the other is Six Pack Performance Inc. http://www.sixpackperformance.net/home.php?cat=259

I e-mailed them and asked if the assembly comes assembled, but no aswer so far. That would save a lot of work of getting all those little screws and bolts separately. Anyone know?

Maybe it's time for a group buy after a suitable source has been found?

I HIGHLY reccomend Six Pack Performance on anything under hood for a Shaker setup. It's typically priced a little higher than the "other" source, but the parts are more accurate compared to OEM and the help is customer service oriented. This is the line of products that Gene Gregory sells, Six Pack is his retail outlet, pricing is the same going direct so I suggest going through Six Pack (Art Pachecho is the owner). As far as small hardware shop on ebay, just do a search for "Shaker Cuda" and it will all pop up.

Cheers.
Scott

Six Pack is here on 4th street call for all your mopar needs. if you need it, it might not even be something they normally stock but Art Senior has some real cool stuff go thru all the time.

Anselmi for the answer to your bubble question why not just call, you'll have your answer in minutes. They are a family run mopar based speed shop. (505)345-8539/345-8530

I bought my bubble from Art at Six Pack Performance. Great guy, good customer service, and fast delivery. It came painted and assembled with air cleaner and cable, ready for installation.

Cool, I didn't realize six pack performance was different from snobar. I'll probably use them. Maybe a group buy thing might be a good idea. I still want to make that the last thing I purchase. I'm about 6 months away from needing it.

Aloha Tom!

Your cuda is coming along beautifully!!!

I see you chose to go black with the red gut instead of the red on red, either way you can't go wrong

I picked a pair of new gilled '71 Fenders. I am glad to see you are happy with yours. I should know how they fit sometime soon.

I too have been wondering if there will be a cheaper alternative for the shaker accessories. Keep me posted if there is a group buy.

As for Ben Snobar's group at Carlisle, I had the same feeling as well. My business not appreciated. But then again I knida get that from almost all the vendors from Carlisle except from Keisler, Bill Evans, Tony D., 71TA, Legendary, Dante, Mike Ross, Peter Gee, Perf Car Graphics, Mopars By Crane, Jack's Auto Parts, Mancini Racing, Brewer's, Firm Feel, Bill Reilly, Fine Lines, and I am sure I am missing some other nice folks

HI Gil,
I agree, a lot of fine venders offering much needed resto parts. But also some turds.

I would think that every new shaker hood sold, means one more shaker component kit is needed. I would think some company would have to jump in to make an affordable kit. Even if snobar drops his price to match, how many people would buy from him if one of the good guy venders has the product?

Hope to see you and the car at Carlisle 2009! I'm gonna try my best to have my cuda there.

Hey Tom,

yep, you're right! If there are new hoods being made and new hood hinges, affordable shaker parts should be out soon. Just like you, I will wait till I really need them before I buy them.

I hope to see you and your Cuda next year! If I am lucky, maybe I'll have a ride myself
