Hi,
I have a NOS in the box that I am saving and I am using an after market on my car. The after market is beefier in a lot of places, especially at the base where they tend to crack.
No matter which you use, make sure the linkage and the release shaft are well lubed. I used white lithium grease (Lubriplate in particular) for the release shaft. Also, look at the delrin insterts in the linkage for wear and binding. The handles usually do not crack if the linkage is working properly. All of the spacers that wear out are available after market
