You're Always Right with Autolite...

I have ran Autolites for many years.. I trird a set of Chumpions in my 340 once. It barely would run. Installed a set of Autolites and all was well. I will say that at the present time I am running Bosch Platnums in the 340 and am very impressed....

Sorry, that was their tag line for a long time. I like the NGK's

champion in mopars is correct
youre not true moparan unless you do
why run anything else
as for bosch bmw volkswagons
volvos.
wouldnt run bosch in my pedal wagan non burn ing
piston hole makin plug center electode dropin
plug if it was the only plug ever made
i would put bare wire in my cylindr first
before ever run that crap of what they call a sparkplug

In 30 years of wrenching Ive seen 1 car run good with Bosch.I wish I had a dollar for every one I had to replace.Ive run Autolites in Mopars since the 60s.Champions in them never worked.I only run Champions in the new Mopars we have. The NGKs seem to run great in my 440 with 12.5 domes on the street. We do have some old NOS Mopar plugs fo BBs.I was going to run them in my 57 and the 62.Just couldnt bring myself to open the 50 year old packages.Rocky

autolite/motorcraft belong to the ford family
ngk was always a foreing car plug/ motorcyle
champion was always mopar,!
ac delco was always chevy!
with that being said
ac delco makes nothing ,0 ,zelch, box by name only
same as champion,
autolite/.motorgcraft same plug, same maker

I guess all the guys who run slapper bars, Powerglides, and 9 inch Fords don't know squat either, huh?

A car is just a machine. It has no idea what plugs you put in it, nor does it care.

I've always heard on the Jeep forums that autolites were the best plug for the 4.0 liters. Thats what I've been running for years in my Jeeps.

you are correct sir
a motor doesnt know,
and a plug only knows to fire when it told to fire
but its all up
to the plug maker ,, who ever that is
to have the best in house design, quality control
being i sell plugs , use plugs , race plugs,
i will always recomend what the vehicles sparkplug,
by their recomendations ,
altho youre car motor is prob nothin as to what mother mopar ever intended to have from factory
so as a factory standpoint champion was the factory plug
of choice ,
as for slapper bars what ever, if you dont know how to fix that
issue then run a slapper bar they work for what they intended
to do ,stop leaf spring rap up, or the lack of coil spring load
as for a power glide , if you have the monie to make em go
and the car lite enough go for it
as for 9 inch let all the ford guys have them !!
stick with my 8 3/4 or my dana 60

Champion makes a good plug for your lawn mower, tiller and weed eater. For my mopar I found the autolites stayed cleaner longer than the champions. My sled likes NGK's but never tried them in my cars.

I have had a problem with autolites. It seems if you flood the engine 1 time they never clear out again.I have had this happen on 3 cars so i switched to either champions or ac delcos and havnt had a problem since.

I've probably had 10 plugs break during removal, over the course of 40 years wrenching. I am certain every one's been a champion. No major disasters, just insulators that crumble.
Never an Autolite/Denso/NGK, or even splitfire !!!!

I run Champions in all my stuff and never had an issue. I've tried Autolites and Delcos a few times and didn't notice any change better or worse, they sure get rusty quick though.
