I'm working on a project and need help with paint. I'm meeting the painter tomorrow to go over possible options. I'm going with a good looking blue. The problem is, I can see it in my head, but can't find it on the internet. I'm doing a blue with white stripes on this car (no I'm not saying what car). I'm looking for a rich metallic type of blue. I'm very ignorant on paint. Anybody have any thoughts on this? I'm sorry for the vagueness

1968 EE Blue is a wonderful, rarely seen color. Very rich, and to me makes the B5 and B7 colors look sorta grayed out.

As far as later colors, Theres Intense Blue Pearl and the new Challenger's Deepwater Blue looks good.

I enjoy studying all makes for color ideas when out and about as well. Hope this helps.

I'm having my '70 Super Bee shot in Kustom shop "Deep Marine Blue" .015" Metalflake over the winter, with white vinyl top, white C stripes..... I did a test panel with this color to make sure I liked it.... It's not for everyone, but I think it is georgeous.

My second choice would be 2001 Dodge intense blue pearl.

68 EE1 blue is really hot for a dark blue...

I was thinking of the blue/white combo on the vipers, but with a brighter more vibrant blue.

1969-70 B7 Blue is nice.

I'm hoping for a semi custom color. This car is far from factory. I think we'll be at 1400hp or so.

I really like the blue on this Torino. If I remember correctly it's a Lexus color,and I can't find the article on it.It was in either Car Craft or Hot Rod. Also I believe Stu(MidPenMopar) knows the owner also.

GM makes a color similar to the torino. it's called laser blue. there is red pearl in it so it will give it some purple tint side tones. laser blue is used on mostly on cobalts, but i have seen that color in equinoxes and monte carlos also.

i like the color...
especially against white...as the darker colors tend to get lost....
when you panel paint..
i dont think that color will be too dark against white ...
especially when you get it outside in daylight.

my 68 rr was a EE1 car, but is painted ultra blue late 80's early 90 chevy IROC color, i get a lot of on it

There was a beautiful color called Sapphire Blue available on 2001 Vipers. It was a one year only color for the Viper.
