Because the 361 heads are lower/narrower than the original 413 the crossover pipe might not fit right.

413's are the red headed stepchildren of the RB family. If you are going to foot the expense of the full MW exhaust system, you can pick up a running 413 for less than you will have in the MW exhaust system and then have a entire upgraded engine for your time and trouble and the exhaust should fit without question.

I have a Maxie exhaust system on my '63 (446" RB, 4-speed) wagon, and I can tell you spark plug access on the right side is a pain in the butt. Looks killer, though. You also need to shield the master cylinder if you go to the later 2-circuit type, and the heater hoses need to be routed further away. There is some wiggle room on the crossover. The e-brake cables also required re-routing, but I used a later rearend with the later cable arrangement.
Come on Steve, you know it's easy.

Am I to assume the MW manifolds will interfear with the Booster even though it is a more narrow 361?
I've never tried it with a low deck but it's a pretty safe assumption that you'll run into problems.

There shouldn't be any problem putting MW exhaust on a low deck motor. My oldest brother bought a brand new 64 Fury w/383 and one of the 1st things he did was put a complete MW exhaust on the car. I still remember he would un- cap the cut-outs when street racing, and you could hear the car being shut -off & coasting down the street in the middle of the night, trying to sneak in so our dad wouldn't hear him.

Well I guess I have my answers on the exhaust. I'm not trying to go fast, just a good sounding and running cruiser. The car is a factory 361 4BBL as stated prior, with p/s, A/C, and p/b. Cool car that has been in storage since 1970. I thought as I was going to be replacing ALOT I may as well unbolt and upgrade while keeping the #'s correct.
With a few changes, you can still run your A/C.Here is my 62.You may be able to get away with an A body Midland-Ross booster. They are about 8" in diameter but wouldn't bet on it.

Thanks for the info guys! I have been talking with a buddy that owns an exhaust shop across town that thought it was crazy to spend that much and he can do a 3"w/cutouts and turndowns for way less so I think I will go that route with the MW Manifolds. The car does have Power brakes. . . Am I to assume the MW manifolds will interfear with the Booster even though it is a more narrow 361?
Hope I dont have to scrap the whole Idea, I love the MW look but not a necessity.
Would there be any benifit to bolting on the rebuilt set of '76 440 heads I have. (if only for the hardened valve seats)
That's a face only a mother could love.
