These are the original owners, two brothers. When they brought it back Home they were given a complete 64 Super Stock engine and trans from Chrysler. Guess where it was shipped from. The King himself Richard Petty. It was ran for awhile with that combo in the NHRA West Division. it also was ran with a HilBorn Injection and a Clutchflite. It also had a Straight Axel in it.This was Dec of 69'

I am speechless. This is one of the coolest Mopar finds in a while. I love this story. Love the car. I want to pull the trigger on some aluminum fenders, but I think I'd rather have a whole car.

What are the plans for it? leave as is(which is pretty close to perfect) or repaint the white back to blue and try to keep as much blue as possible? Awesome find, the underside is unbelievably clean!!

Wow. That's a lucky find. Beautiful car. Isn't there a solution or method to pull off a top layer of paint? Not sure if it's a solvent or what it is but I have heard of it being done. Be great if you could get that white paint off without painting over it. I guess it depends on what kind of paint was applied? I love 64s.

I'm the CARETAKER of Weinstats '69 440 'cuda registry and have 104 of the 360 cars to date. 84 fastbacks/20 coupes. Always looking for new(REAL M-code) '69 440 'cudas to add to the registry so drop me a note if any are found or known. This isn't a publicly released registry. Thanks, Dave

I love 64s.
i bought my survivor 69 RR some 7 years ago. right front fender was replaced and painted and also the hood ( why?? ) it just took me sandpaper ( wet, 2000 ) and about 30 hours to wetsand, polish etc. to get the original paint from underthere. And it looked good when i was done.
Hope this helps! cheers, Marcel

What smile? If I were him I would have the largest smile in the world and I would have tried to buy the car back.

Yes the SO MATCHES THE RAD SUPPORT AND THE REAR DECK BY THE RIGHT SPEAKER HOLE. The vin is in Darryl Davis's book. The interior panels are stock. This car came with a bench seat. No back seat. This was an early built Jan 22, 1964' Aluminum car. They did more changes to the later ones built in late April and May Hemi cars.
Did this max wedge car come with or now have aluminum fenders and hood with the Hemi scoop? Are the hood pins (not the clips) aluminum or does the hood have a more updated fastening system?
