Nice looking car. Those 64's really had it together.

What happened to make them change it all to Belvedere interior?

This is the most jaw-dropping thread of 2010.
Incredible. Talk about a day-two race car!

Does the SO number on fender tag match radiator support? And what year did it get restored? Beautiful car!

Yes the SO MATCHES THE RAD SUPPORT AND THE REAR DECK BY THE RIGHT SPEAKER HOLE. The vin is in Darryl Davis's book. The interior panels are stock. This car came with a bench seat. No back seat. This was an early built Jan 22, 1964' Aluminum car. They did more changes to the later ones built in late April and May Hemi cars.

Really, they put Belvedere seats, door panels, and steering wheel in a Savoy? I wonder why they would do that? Chrysler sure did some strange things back then. Was that a option?

Actually was posted for sale on 8/3/10 on Craigslist in Phoenix. So you could call it a Craigslist find.

Talked to the owner but can't find my notes right now.

Ok, Here are Photos of first Previous owner. He was delighted to see the car. He went over a lot of racing history and a lot of facts about the car.

What smile? If I were him I would have the largest smile in the world and I would have tried to buy the car back.

I do not really know how to do the U tube download video thing. I have the second owner coming today also. He was the brother in law of Three Dog Night Base Player Joe Scherme Jr. He is bringing some more old pics. He had a bunch of 8 MM films at BeeLine Raceway but they disintegrated years ago. Here is a pic of First owner and his wife.

Did this max wedge car come with or now have aluminum fenders and hood with the Hemi scoop? Are the hood pins (not the clips) aluminum or does the hood have a more updated fastening system?
